Never miss a
birthday again

A Telegram bot that quietly remembers every birthday, anniversary, and date that matters. Tell it once — by typing or by voice — and it pings you 7 days before, the day before, and the morning of.

Next birthday for Mom

The problem

Facebook reminded you. Facebook is gone.

The social graphs that used to surface birthdays have collapsed. The calendar app doesn't know who matters to you. You find out when the cake photo is already on Instagram.

Dates live in five different apps.

One in Contacts, two in a Notes file, a few in Apple Calendar, and the rest in your head. Nothing is authoritative. Nothing reminds you in time.

You open a to-do app to add one date.

Notion, Todoist, Google Calendar — each asks you to build a whole system. For birthdays. You don't need a system. You need a bot that asks "who?" and "when?" and shuts up.

Features

The killer feature
Talk to it, don't type.

Hold the mic button in Telegram. Say "Mom's birthday, March 15". Whisper transcribes, GPT-4o-mini parses, the bot confirms. The whole thing is 3 seconds.

Inline calendar, in the chat.

No date-picker redirects, no mini-apps you have to open. The calendar renders as Telegram buttons. Tap month, tap day, done.

Three reminders, no nagging.

Seven days out (time to buy a gift), one day out (time to write the message), and the morning of. No daily digest, no weekly roundup.

Mini App for the visual people.

Prefer a list view to a chat log? Open the Mini App inside Telegram to see every date sorted by proximity, edit in place, delete with a swipe.

Also a standalone web app.

How it works

1
Start the bot
Open @nottoolate_bot in Telegram and hit Start. A reply keyboard appears with four buttons. You never see a command prompt.
2
Add a date
Tap "Add date" or hold the mic and say it. Pick a preset (Mom, Dad, Wife) or type the name yourself. The calendar slides in.
3
Wait
Go on with your life. The bot stores the date in a per-user JSON file and checks every hour whether anything deserves a notification.
4
Get reminded
Seven days out. One day out. Day-of, 9 AM. Three pings, just enough to prepare a card, a gift, and a message.

Sorted by proximity, not by date

The top of the list is always what's next. Day-of events glow lime. Within a week they warm up.

It's a chat, not an app.

The whole thing happens in Telegram. A reply keyboard anchors four buttons at the bottom; voice messages do the rest.
